Classic Case

This tangential cross flow filtration system is purpose-built for continuous cell capture, broth clarification and volume concentration in upstream bioprocesses, compatible with mammalian cell cultures, microbial fermentation broths and perfusion culture supernatant recovery.
Different from dead-end filtration, its cross-flow circulation design effectively mitigates filter cake buildup and membrane fouling, enabling long-duration stable operation at high cell density loading. Closed sanitary flow paths adopt biocompatible material certified for E&L testing, supporting automated CIP and SIP cycles, fully conforming to biopharma cGMP requirements. The system precisely regulates crossflow velocity, transmembrane pressure and feed flux via closed-loop control, achieving tunable concentration factors while keeping shear stress low to protect cell integrity and biological activity.
Fully automated operation realizes unattended batch execution, automatic endpoint cut-off, real-time parameter trending and complete electronic batch records with full audit trails, simplifying validation and regulatory filing. The skid-mounted integrated structure supports seamless inline connection with bioreactors, eliminating intermediate open transfer steps and reducing contamination risks. It flexibly scales from pilot process optimization to commercial continuous production, serving as an efficient alternative to disc stack centrifuges for sterile cell harvesting, cell retention and bulk liquor concentration.
